This has been such a crazy year for all of us, but I want to “Thank You” for calling on me to do haircuts on the patio!!! We all love the great outdoors especially when you got a great haircut witht the adventure. Stay safe!
My mother has moved into Angel’s Loving Touch. It is a group home. We liked that it was very clean and very tidy. It did not have a smell. It’s just very cute and very well decorated. The residents are very happy and look content. The staff is very nice and very attentive. She is eating and that’s a good thing. They have activities. They have a night nurse. They shower them. They’ve been working with my mom about her walking to encourage her to walk more. They do their nails and they have somebody come in and do their hair. It’s just like a normal home.
Recently my mom’s health situation declined rapidly, and I found myself searching for assisted living or residential board and cares so she could have the 24/7 quality care she needs. I toured countless homes and none felt right… until we found Angel’s Loving Touch. When I entered this facility, I immediately felt the difference from other board and care. There was pleasant, peaceful music streaming through the home and friendly caregivers greeted me with warmth and compassion in their eyes. I was introduced to the other residents that were just finishing an amazing home cooked meal. Yazmin, the owner, welcomed me inside and gave me a tour. I saw one resident reading a book quietly and another was in the family room interacting and working on a crossword puzzle with a care giver. I was shown the shared room available for my mom, with beautiful and impeccable decor. I could immediately envision visiting her on the comfortable outdoor patio furniture under the trellis with beautiful vines and flowers. It was perfect! I was also told I can bring any special furniture, blankets, photographs, decorations, and of course her personal items for the dresser and spacious walk-in closet.
Although the home is beautiful, what stood out to me most were the caregivers’ and owner’s compassionate and genuine hearts. In a world of impersonal or burned out caregivers, Angel’s Loving Touch was truly a breath of fresh air. They truly care about their residents. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and are not simply performing their jobs rotely, but carrying out a mission of service and their calling in life. Everyone I have met who works at Angel’s and especially the owner, Yazmin, have a special gift and you can tell this is what they are meant to do. Yazmin is always available and goes above and beyond to help guide me through any issues or situations I have encountered with my mom’s particular health needs.
My mom has been taken care of with conscientious and compassionate, living care since the moment she moved in. I deeply appreciate everything that everyone at Angel’s Loving Touch has been doing to create a warm, homey atmosphere for my mom. She’s raving about the yummy meals and praising how nice it is to be cared for by people who truly care. Another resident was talking to me and said “This is a really good place. Your mom is going to like it here.” when we first moved her in. And it absolutely true! It feels like family! It was a blessing to find this rare gem, and I highly recommend it.
